92 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2016 Riesling Clos Liebenberg Monopole shows intense yet pure and elegant fruit aromas of crushed stones (limestone notes again) and dried apricots and mirabelles with a piquant terroir. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied and rather creamy, less tensioned Riesling compared to 2015 and even 2014. The wine is delicate and reveals a certain mineral grip and salinity, but it doesn't reach the heights of its neighbors. This is pretty pure and acidic. Tasted in May 2020. Drink: 2022-2032. (10/30/20)"
