95-96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Like several other of the premier crus chez Lafon, the 2020 Perrières had only been assembled a week before my visit, and this was the one wine that still seemed a bit reticent as a result of its recent racking. Consequently, I have scored this in a range and would fully expect it to place at the high end of that point spread, once it is back in perfect form. The bouquet offers up scents of apple, pear, almond, stony limestone minerality, white flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, mineral-driven and snappy, with a rock solid core of fruit, lovely balance and a very long, zesty and youthful finish. Given how beautifully some of the other premier crus are singing today, one has to assume that there is more here than meets the eye at the present time. 2028-2075. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
93-96 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from two different parcels, a large one with 45+ year old vines that is only 50 yards from Genevrières and a second, smaller one with 20+ year old vines just above Charmes). Cooler and much more restrained aromas grudgingly reveal notes of mineral reduction, plenitude of floral and strikingly spicy white peach and pear. The generous yet tightly focused middle weight flavors seem built on a base of firm minerality while displaying focused power on the hugely persistent finish. This striking Perrières is both seriously good and really impressive. Drink: 2032+. (Jun 2022)"

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is a decidedly backwards Perrières for the moment. My sample was very cold, despite my efforts to warm it up, which may have played a part. Sweet plums, salted almond and fluffy lees offered a pale first impression. The palate was slightly more forthcoming with white peach and guava, but the usual reserve of power doesn't seem to be there. It may just need some time. 2025-34. (Jan 2022)"
92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is one of the more introverted wines in the range, unwinding to exhibit notes of lime zest, crisp Anjou pear, exotic fruits, white flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, chalky and saline, it may take on additional dimension with further élevage, but for now I'd rank this behind Charmes and Genevrières this year. (1/20/22)"
93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "More opulent, with some melon and light peaches, but with great charm and still a poised definition. Maybe a fraction less classic than some because of these more exotic notes. There is certainly a joyous opulence, a Perrières which will give pleasure relatively early. (May 2024)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A more floral, more precise/pure nose – thats great. Mouth-filling more shape more concentration evident vs the airy Charmes. Slowly fading – this is more direct to start but with similarities the Charmes in the finish. (Dec 2021)"
