97 points Kerin O'Keefe: "The excellent 2021 Munjebel CS, from old ungrafted Nerello Mascalese grown in the Chiusa Spagnolo site in contrada Zottorinoto, is wild and mysterious. One of five wines that Cornelissen defines as a Grand Cru, it opens with compelling aromas of violet, rose, forest berry, wet stone and dark spice. Delicious and beautifully balanced, the intense palate shows finesse and structure, providing layers of red fruit, citrus, dark culinary spice and tangy mineral notes that linger on the finish. Firm, refined tannins and bright acidity provide the framework while the mineral tension gives it an edge. Drink: 2028–2036. (Jun 2024)"
97 points Luca Gardini: "From Contrada Chiusa Spagnolo. Fruity entrance with notes of raspberry and sweet spices. Elegant tannins, tension, balanced and excellent freshness. (Jul 2024)"
